Shema Israel….

To Listen you must hear…
The battle is spiritual…” Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of hosts”. Zech. 4.6

They have turned to me their back and not their face. And though I have taught them persistently, they have not listened to receive instruction.

יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ
32.33

“Behold, I will gather them from all the countries to which I drove them in my anger and my wrath and in great indignation. I will bring them back to this place, and I will make them dwell in safety. And they shall be my people, and I will be their God. I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for their own good and the good of their children after them. I will make with them an everlasting covenant, that I will not turn away from doing good to them. And I will put the fear of me in their hearts, that they may not turn from me. I will rejoice in doing them good, and I will plant them in this land in faithfulness, with all my heart and all my soul.”

Israel

2 Samuel 7.25

And now, O LORD God, confirm forever the word that you have spoken concerning your servant and concerning his house, and do as you have spoken. And your name will be magnified forever, saying, ‘The LORD of hosts is God over Israel,’ and the house of your servant David will be established before you.

Jeremiah 31.35-36

Thus says the LORD,
who gives the sun for light by day
and the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night,
who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar—
the LORD of hosts is his name:
“If this fixed order departs
from before me, declares the LORD,
then shall the offspring of Israel cease
from being a nation before me forever.”

The Word of G-d will never fail. Israel will never cease to be a nation
Before Him.

G-d is a G-d of covenants.
He has ordained the Jewish nation and the people of Israel to be a light to the nations and through the offspring of David a Savior for the world….

Pesach 5785

Passover 5785

. חָמָס (Hamas)- Hebrew word meaning violent, cruel, unjust

. חָמֵץ (Chametz)- what we are called to remove on Pesach…the word means sour, bitter. The word refers to taste. Change the vowel and it is the word for vinegar. The word in Hebrew also refers to “cruel, ruthless, oppressive”

The actual word for LEAVEN is . שְׂאֹר which is an ACTION word meaning to “swell up”….sometimes with reference to pride or mans evil inclinations

What are we called upon to remove every year before Pesach?
The real chametz is in our hearts not our homes….we are called to remove sourness, bitterness, and pride. How do we do this?

Shma (hearing) and praying…
Psalm 49 :

“I will solve my riddle to the music of the lyre.

those who trust in their wealth
and boast of the abundance of their riches?
Truly no man can ransom another,
or give to God the price of his life,

For when he dies he will carry nothing away;
his glory will not go down after him.
For though, while he lives, he counts himself blessed
—and though you get praise when you do well for yourself—
his soul will go to the generation of his fathers,
who will never again see light.
Man in his pomp yet without understanding is like the beasts that perish.”

The riddles and mysteries of life are in Torah…
Chametz removed needs to be replaced with hope and the Spirit of G-d
Read the entire Psalm !! “No man can ransom another”…only
G-d ….Zechariah 2.10-13
May Israel remove its . חָמָס. This year!

Purim 2025

The spiritual battle continues through the Agagites…
King Saul of the tribe of Benjamin was given orders by G-d (Samuel 15.3) around 1,000 BCE
“Now go and strike Amalek and devote to destruction all that they have. Do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’”
500 years later…
The Agagites (Amalekites) sought revenge to destroy all Jews through Haman.
Esther 3.13
“Letters were sent by couriers to all the king’s provinces with instruction to destroy, to kill, and to annihilate all Jews, young and old, women and children, in one day, the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month of Adar, and to plunder their goods.”
The tribe of Benjamin through Hadassah and Mordecai foiled those plans. Haman and his 10 sons were hanged on gallows (Esther 9.13)
The names have changed but the spirit of evil to destroy the Jews continues….

“But when it came before the king, he gave orders in writing that his evil plan that he had devised against the Jews should return on his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.”

“the king allowed the Jews who were in every city to gather and defend their lives, to destroy, to kill, and to annihilate any armed force of any people or province that might attack them, children and women included, and to plunder their goods,”

The Jews of Susa did not lay a hand on the plunder.
They remembered King Saul

Every year the story of Esther brings light and meaning. Evil against Israel will not ever succeed.

Psalm 102 : It is time O Lord….

Hear our prayer ,O Lord : let my cry for help come to you….
YOU will arise and have compassion on Zion for it is time to show
favor to her
The nations will fear the name of the Lord, all the kings of the earth will revere your glory
For the LORD will rebuild Zion and appear in his glory

The Lord looked down from his sanctuary on high
from heaven he viewed the earth
to hear the groans of the prisoners and release those condemned to death

So the name of the LORD will be declared in Zion and his praise in Jerusalem when the peoples and the kingdoms assemble to worship the LORD….

The Year of the LORD’S Favor Isaiah 61. Bring them home.

The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me,
because the LORD has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor;
he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
to proclaim the year of the LORD’S favor,
and the day of vengeance of our God;
to comfort all who mourn;
to grant to those who mourn in Zion—
to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness instead of mourning

For I the LORD love justice;
I hate robbery and wrong;
I will faithfully give them their recompense,
and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.
Their offspring shall be known among the nations,
and their descendants in the midst of the peoples;
all who see them shall acknowledge them,
that they are an offspring the LORD has blessed.

You shall suck the milk of nations;
you shall nurse at the breast of kings;
and you shall know that I, the LORD, am your Savior
and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.

Through Yeshua the covenant has been opened to all who
call on him….

No Stopping Now….Isaiah 45.2,3

“I will go before you
and level the exalted places,
I will break in pieces the doors of bronze
and cut through the bars of iron,
I will give you the treasures of darkness
and the hoards in secret places,
that you may know that it is I, the LORD,
the God of Israel, who call you by your name.

Worthless

why do I feel worthless, that I can not do anything right?

Psalm 53.3 ” there is none who does good,
not even one.”
Psalm 14 “The LORD looks down from heaven on the children of man,
to see if there are any who understand,
who seek after God.
They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt;
there is none who does good,
not even one.”
Psalm 143.2. “for no one living is righteous before you.”
Proverbs 20.9 “Who can say, “I have made my heart pure;
I am clean from my sin”?

All of us are imperfect and fail even when we try to do good….

Turning our eyes off us and unto Him…

Psalm 27. I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the LORD
in the land of the living!
Wait for the LORD;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
wait for the LORD!

Psalm 62 “For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence,
for my hope is from him.
He only is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be shaken.”

Psalm 32.1,2 “Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven,
whose sin is covered.
Blessed is the man against whom the LORD counts no iniquity,
and in whose spirit there is no deceit.”

David looked for the Hope to come beyond our failures and so must we!

Yeshua

GAZA

No nation will succeed to destroy the Land of Israel.
The call of Zephaniah continues in our ears. The Words of G-d are alive today as they were in years past.
“Seek the LORD all you humble of the land, seek righteousness; seek humility”

From Zephaniah

“I will gather those of you who mourn for the festival,
so that you will no longer suffer reproach.
Behold, at that time I will deal
with all your oppressors.
And I will save the lame
and gather the outcast,
and I will change their shame into praise
and renown in all the earth.
At that time I will bring you in,
at the time when I gather you together;
for I will make you renowned and praised
among all the peoples of the earth,
when I restore your fortunes
before your eyes,” says the LORD.”

The Lord is jealous for His people. He will not abandon them.
He has made a covenant He will never break.

“This shall be their lot in return for their pride,
because they taunted and boasted
against the people of the LORD of hosts.
The LORD will be awesome against them;
for he will famish all the gods of the earth,
and to him shall bow down,
each in its place, all the lands of the nations.”

חָכְמוֹת Proverbs 1.5 . A wise man will hear, and will increase learning. Fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Wisdom cries out in Proverbs 1.23 “behold I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.”

People are fearful today. Fear of the unknown. Fear of evil.
Yet the promise is
“Those whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from the fear of evil” Proverbs 1.33

The Messiah was wisdom חָכְמוֹת.
“And he taught them many things by parables”
“He that hath ears to hear, let him hear…and you will know the mystery
of the kingdom of G-d”
“if any man has ears, let him hear”
“unto you that hear shall more be given”
